I've been wearing eye glasses since I was in fourth grade. That is about 20 years of poor eye sight, but who is counting. I've gotten a new prescription almost every year. There were times where the prescritpion didn't change too much, so I got to keep the same glasses I had. I always wondered what I could do with my old frames instead of allowing them to collect dust.
Bixby Eye Center allows for eye glass recycling. If you have some old frames, Bixby Eye Center will take them and donate them to a group that will give them to people in need.
You can also use your old frames as a back up pair to your new glasses. If your prescription has changed, Bixby Eye Center can change out the lenses of the frame to match your new prescription. You can get 50% off your lenses if you go with this option.
Don't let your old glasses gather dust in your junk drawer. Go to Bixby to donate them or use them as backup pair! If you have any particular concerns, reach out to the optometrists at the Bixby Eye Center in Peoria, Illinois. They will be more than happy to help you with your eye glass needs.
